Thank you for your interest in Practical Action.
Whether you’re making a large personal donation or giving through a foundation, trust or company, your generous support will help people tackle some of the world’s toughest problems.
Why give a major gift?
By choosing to give a major gift, you’ll play a bigger part in shaping a world which works better for everyone.
At Practical Action we do things differently so answers that start small can grow big – bringing people together in bold collaborations, combining knowledge with innovation to change the systems that keep people poor and vulnerable.
Your significant donation will mean we can plan further ahead and act quicker and more effectively to help people in poverty to change their world. It also gives you the chance to be more involved with Practical Action.
We build close, long-term relationships with the people who choose to support us with gifts of £5,000 or more and provide them with a truly personalised experience.
- You’ll have a dedicated contact within our team who will act as your personal guide to Practical Action and the work you’re supporting.
- We’ll talk to you about the difference you want to make and any particular interests you have that might influence how you’d like to direct your giving.
- We’ll keep in touch with regular reports and updates on how your gift is helping people to free themselves from a life of poverty.
Support a specific area of our work
We work with communities in Africa, Asia and Latin America to develop lasting and locally owned solutions for agriculture, water and waste management, climate resilience and clean energy. If you prefer, we can direct your donation to go to a particular country or area of our work to suit your interests.
We also have opportunities to support certain projects so that you can join forces with Practical Action and our partners to make change happen.
Join our Chair’s Circle
Our Chair’s Circle is made up of generous supporters whose annual unrestricted gifts make a substantial contribution to our current programmes and future sustainability. The group is led by our Chair of Trustees, Dr Yvonne Pinto.
Chair’s Circle members enjoy a special relationship with us, which includes access to senior leadership and country staff through our Chair’s Circle events programme.
