Taking local leadership and indigenous knowledge to scale for a thriving future
Latin America
Building resilience to climate and natural hazards
Our work in Latin America is mostly concerned with helping families become more resilient to climate and natural hazards and improving the effectiveness and profitability of their farming methods.
We add to this with work to help people access the transformational power of clean energy.
In Bolivia, where diverse cultures coexist amidst vulnerabilities to climate change and inequalities, we collaborate closely with local stakeholders to promote renewable energy adoption and climate-resilient agriculture.
In Ecuador, we work with communities, Indigenous Peoples, and local authorities to strengthen leadership, protect biodiversity, and support climate-resilient livelihoods that enable people to thrive in harmony with nature.
Similarly, in Peru, known for its rich biodiversity and indigenous knowledge, we partner with communities to strengthen their resilience, transition to regenerative agriculture, and unlock the potential of renewable energies.
Through these targeted efforts, we aim to empower communities, enhance their adaptive capacity, and foster sustainable development in the face of environmental challenges.
