Our team of consultants based in Lima, Peru, has been providing high-quality consultancy services across Latin America for over twenty years. We focus on agriculture, climate resilience and energy access.

The team is made up of experts from various backgrounds including Livelihoods and Market Development; Climate Change and Disaster Risk Management; Water, Energy and Low Carbon Development and Knowledge Management, Communication and Public Advocacy.

Key projects:

This DFID funded work is Practical Action Consulting in Latin America’s flagship programme on Knowledge Management and Learning. The main aim was to improve knowledge of Latin America’s economic, environmental and governance issues among African and Asian policymakers, practitioners and researchers.

  • Gender Equality and Climate Compatible Development: Drivers and Challenges to people’s empowerment, 2014 – 2016

Our goal was to manage the production and dissemination of high quality evidence on gender-sensitive approaches to climate compatible development. To read the published CDKN report we produced click here.

  • Management of two regional exchange platforms on adaptation to Climate Change, 2016 – 2020

Practical Action Consulting in Latin America developed and managed two virtual online platforms aimed at improving the dissemination of knowledge and the exchange of information among decision makers at all levels. The first community of practice was the National Adaptation Plan for Latin America and the second was an Ecosystem based adaptation community of practice. Both platforms look to strengthen south-south cooperation for the exchange of knowledge, peer learning and capacity building.
