Our biggest focus in Africa is on finding ways to make farming work for smallholder farmers. We also have significant projects helping people to access clean energy and improving water and waste services.
We collaborate with communities, governments, businesses, and donors to leverage clean energy, sustainable agriculture, water, sanitation, and waste management in combating poverty, empowering women, and addressing climate change.
In Kenya, we align with national development priorities to reduce poverty, promote resilient livelihoods, and enhance gender equality. Our work in Malawi focuses on clean energy access, promoting sustainable agriculture, and improving market access. In Rwanda, we integrate sustainable farming with transformative energy solutions, particularly in refugee camps and host communities. In Sudan, efforts centre on resilience-building through improved agricultural practices and renewable energy amidst ongoing civil war. Across West Africa, we provide technical advice and implement programs to enhance smallholder farming, renewable energy, and disaster resilience.
