Generous partygoers have hit an incredible target to raise vital funds for people in conflict-hit Sudan through Shambala Festival’s vibrant “Flags For…” campaign.
This week, the target of £8000 was met. Every donation will go towards helping communities cope with a deadly combination of climate change and conflict, which has caused mass hunger and displacement across the country.
All proceeds – including an £1,000 contribution from Shambala – will support programmes which help communities struggling to cope with influxes of people forced to leave their homes.
We’re incredibly grateful to Shambala Festival and everyone who donated through the ‘Flags For…’ campaign.
Their generosity will help us deliver life-changing projects in Sudan, supporting communities to adapt to the challenges of climate change with innovative and sustainable solutions, through activities such as access to seeds, tools, irrigation and training through farmer field schools.
We had a wonderful time meeting so many people at the festival and sharing the story of our work. It was truly heartwarming to see how much everyone cares and to feel such strong support for the communities we work with.
