Sporty staff from Riviera Travel have raised £5,000 to support a life-changing waste management project in Kisumu, Kenya.
Through their innovative “Riviera Races to Kisumu” fundraiser, team members collectively ran, walked, swam, and cycled the 6,340 miles between their headquarters in Burton-on-Trent and Kisumu City – located on the shores of Lake Victoria.
The funds will help Practical Action and local partners tackle plastic pollution, improve waste collection for thousands of households, and create better opportunities for informal waste workers.
