Abstract
A heatwave in Bangladesh in 2024 significantly impacted Khulna’s agriculture, aquaculture, and livestock sectors, which are highly climate sensitive and provide the primary source of livelihood for many rural households. A post-event study conducted by Practical Action in 2025 assessed the impacts of this heatwave to identify how the prolonged high temperatures affected smallholder farmers in Khulna.
