Practical Action is an international development organisation that puts ingenious ideas to work so people in poverty can change their world. We help people find solutions to some of the world’s toughest problems – made worse by catastrophic climate change and persistent gender inequality. We’re working in communities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Additionally, our technical consulting experts work in many more countries, and our publishing arm sells globally. In Nepal, Practical Action works in the areas of Climate and Resilience (Resilience that Protects), Farming that Works and Energy that Transforms.
Practical Action in Nepal aims to increase its engagement with the media to communicate more effectively around the issues of regenerative agriculture, climate-smart agriculture, access to agriculture markets, digital finance and agriculture digitalisation. With over five decades of experience working with smallholder farmers who are vulnerable to climate change, Practical Action is trying to better equip them with knowledge and technology for agriculture which works well for people and planet. Based on our experience, Practical Action hereby invites applications from interested media journalists/reporters to submit their applications for “Media Fellowship 2024” programme.
