Practical Action, in partnership with UN-Habitat, is implementing the Harare Sustainable Cities Initiative (HSCI), focusing on establishing Multi-functional Clean Energy Centres (MCECs) and Integrated Resource Recovery Centres (IRRCs) in Harare, Zimbabwe. This initiative aims to improve living conditions by increasing access to sustainable waste-to-wealth services, clean energy, and promoting energy and resource efficiency in Zimbabwe’s built environment.
Tenders are hereby invited from eligible, registered and qualified organisations with experience in borehole drilling and equipping, solar powered structures and construction of prefabricated steel structures including providing all labour.

- Interested bidders are required to obtain the detailed tender document from Practical Action offices at No. 4 Ludlow Road, Newlands, Harare upon payment of a non-refundable administrative fee of USD$20.00. Note that we do not have a swiping facility so payments should either be in cash or bank transfer/deposit. For bank transactions a receipt will only be issued upon payment reflecting in our account. Banking details can be obtained from both Practical Action Offices.
- Tender documents will be sold from 22 September 2025 to 30th of September 2025 strictly from 0900hours to 1200hrs.
- All stakeholders to this project are ineligible to bid for this tender
- Site visit is mandatory to all bidders on the 25th of September 2025.
- Late submissions will not be accepted
