Practical Action in is requesting for proposals for a consulting entity to carry out impact assessment for Women in Energy Enterprises Kenya (WEEK) Project.

Background of Practical Action:
Practical Action is an international development agency working with poor communities to help them choose and use technology to improve their lives for today and generations to come. The Organization has more than 50 years’ experience in the development and scaling of a range of technologies appropriate to the needs of the poor. The organization promotes a wide range of technologies including micro-hydro, solar cooking, bioethanol and improved biomass cookstoves. At a grassroots level, Practical Action has worked with women on energy issues since 1986, actively engaging with them in their various roles as users, producers, distributors and promoters in the energy value chain

Background of WEEK Project:
The Women in Energy Enterprises in Kenya WEEK) project works with women entrepreneurs (WEs) in the Improved cookstoves (ICS), Solar products & Biomass briquettes value chains - to address the challenges that they face.

The project is being implemented in rural and peri-urban areas of 7 Counties located in five regions in Kenya, including Central (Muranga, Nyeri), Rift Valley (Nakuru), Western (Kakamega), Nyanza (Kisumu and Siaya), and Nairobi.

WEEK Impact and Beneficiary Survey TOR

Interested consulting entities that have capacity to deliver the TOR are invited to submit a complete proposal to recruitment@practicalaction.or.ke with subject line WEEK Project Impact Assessment so as to reach Practical Action on or before 12th June 2017. Consultant should possess legal status to work in Kenya.

Practical Action will evaluate the proposals and award the assignment based on technical and financial feasibility.
