Practical Action has been inspiring and enabling people around the world to improve their lives for 50 years. But this has only been possible because of the dedicated support of thousands of people like you.
The 50th Anniversary Quilt has now been completed! Thank you to each and every person who contributed to this project; you make a total of 950 people. We are so grateful to have created such a beautiful wall-hanging that symbolises Practical Action and its supporters. It embodies the principles that lie behind Practical Action projects: people working collectively and using their own skills and resources in a sustainable way to improve their lives, in this case, by creating a beautiful piece of artwork. See a full list of all the contributors.
The overall design was masterminded by sisters Jenny Jenkins and Gabriella Walsh who are long standing supporters. The quilt is made up of squares of orange fabric, sewn with 50 buttons in a circle within each square. If you have any questions then please email firstname.lastname@example.org. We had so much incredible support with this project that we ended up with an extra six squares which now have pride of place in each of our country offices.
A massive thank you to Nicola Craddock, Jenny Jenkins and Gabriella Walsh who presented the quilt to Practical Action at our UK head office. Next up, the quilt will be going on a tour around the country where those of you who contributed will be able to see the completed product.
