Practical Action has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Energy Advisor, West Africa to join their growing regional team, based in Dakar, Senegal. Reporting to the West Africa Regional Director, you will be contribute to the delivery of Practical Action's energy strategy in West Africa. The role will primarily be to support our consulting team in the development of our energy work in the region, including managing projects, providing technical input to Practical Action’s projects in the region, securing new work, building the network of associates, line-managing staff and facilitating joint working with Practical Action's other regional and country offices in Africa and UK.

In addition, the role will act as the senior technical energy access lead for PAC West Africa energy team. You will provide technical leadership, oversight and quality, timely technical inputs to consultancy projects and proposals/business development across our energy portfolio. You will provide particular expertise/inputs on quantitative and/or qualitative analysis as well as other specialist areas. Projects may include areas such as: energy and agriculture, mini-grids, energy and gender, policy or energy finance.
