Lets turn the tables on
You can help farmers adapt to the effects of climate change and succeed. It all starts with some tiny seeds….
Many people around the world rely on farming for food and income. But extreme weather patterns are destroying people like Pooja’s crops, and their livelihoods.
What would it take for Pooja to succeed?
An ingenious combination of small things that would make a big difference. A proven approach perfected in partnership with other farming communities all around the world.
And it all starts with tiny-but-powerful seed varieties, which would make her crops more resilient to new weather patterns. Solar-power could water her fields during dry periods. Training in new farming techniques could mean bigger harvests – enough to feed her family, with extra to sell. Vegetable cable cars could move her produce to market in minutes, not hours. New business skills would bring opportunities to earn more. And with a greater say in community decision making, women like Pooja could shine.
