From climate emergency to shared opportunity
The climate crisis threatens lives, livelihoods, habitats and species around the world. The size and complexity of the challenge demands a shared effort like we’ve never seen before.
Our experience has taught us that when the right people come together and pool their skills and knowledge in the pursuit of shared goals, most things become possible.
It’s already happening in Gwanda, Zimbabawe (pictured, left). Climate change is causing longer and more frequent droughts. But with improved seeds, solar powered irrigation and skills training, farmers like Catherine (pictured, right) are thriving. She’s growing sorghum, millet and vegetables on previously barren land – enough to feed her family with extra to sell.

We’ve shown that big change can happen in the work we’ve carried out, thanks to the support of people like you. Work with people like Robert, who you’ll meet in this video from Turkana, Kenya. Climate change is causing more frequent and severe droughts there. Families don’t have enough water to drink, cook, wash, and look after their animals. The solution is a combination of solar-powered water pumps, water resource management and health training. It’s helping communities access water and use it to bring about an enormous change.

- Turn plastic waste into fuel in Bangladesh, cleaning up slums and rivers and creating jobs
It’s what we’ve been doing for over 50 years.
