Practical Action is searching for an exceptionally talented Philanthropy Manager to create and lead a bold new philanthropy programme that will motivate, inspire and capture the hearts and imaginations of major donors. We’re looking for a spirited philanthropy specialist with bags of energy and enthusiasm; someone with an impressive back catalogue of major gifts from individuals at five, six and preferably seven figure level. Someone who is both inspired and inspiring about Practical Action’s work, as well as a motivational and dynamic manager of people with a current team of two and potential for growth. Our new Philanthropy Manger will play a key role in delivering ambitious growth by devising and implementing a new multi-year philanthropy strategy to secure income from a portfolio of existing and new major donors. This role will suit a brilliant strategic thinker who can also lead the operational delivery of the major gifts programme including development and stewardship of a portfolio of key relationships.
