How you can manage cookies on your device

Please be aware that restricting or blocking cookies may impact on the functionality of the Practical Action website. In particular, our Practical Answers information service requires cookies to enable registration and login for the download of information materials, but you can still browse and view these materials online if cookies are disabled.

 

Windows PC

Internet Explorer
Choose Tools and then Internet Options
Click the Privacy tab
Move the slider to choose your preferred settings – ‘Medium’ or below will enable cookies, above ‘Medium’ will disable cookies

Google Chrome
Click on the menu button (three horizontal lines in the top-right corner) then select Settings
Click Show advanced settings.
In the Privacy section, click Content settings
Use the Cookies section to change to your preferred settings.

Mozilla Firefox
Click on the menu button (three horizontal lines in the top-right corner) then select Options
Click the Privacy panel
Tick or untick ‘Accept cookies from sites’ as appropriate.

 

Apple Mac

Safari
Choose Preferences and click Security
In the Accept cookies section, specify if and when Safari should accept cookies from websites
Note: Safari blocks third-party cookies by default.

Google Chrome
Click on the Tools menu (spanner icon) and select Options
Click the Under the Bonnet tab and locate the Privacy section, and choose the Content settings button.
Click the Cookie settings tab and choose your preferred settings.

iPad / iPhone

Safari
From the Home screen choose Settings then Safari
Tap Accept Cookies and choose “Never”, “From visited”, or “Always”
