Shagra Community Forest

Nadia Ibrahim Mohammed attended the “Greening Darfur” inception workshop and then decided to establish a community forest. In order to do this she mobilised the community, especially women groups, explaining the importance of forestation, the ecosystem and the environment, and how forests can increase the amount of rainfall and stop desertification.
