Practical Action Consulting International - Agriculture & Markets Capability Statement

Through ingenious solutions, we’re making agriculture work better for smallholder farmers, many of them women, so they can adapt to climate change and achieve a good standard of living. In 2018-19, 1.1 million people benefitted directly from our work to improve agricultural productivity and incomes. Working with farmer organisations since the 1960s, our core strength lies in our connections to communities and understanding of local contexts. We take a systems approach to address linkages between markets and business, climate change and environmental sustainability and gender and youth equality. We also work on the promotion of energy access as a means to strengthen agricultural productivity. This capability statement provides an overview of our work in agriculture and markets.
