Impact of modern agricultural biocenology on the livelihoods of farmers in Sri Lanka: farmers’ experiences and perception

This study is part of a fairy extensive project conducted to develop a methodology for assessing impact of modern agricultural biotechnology on poor people. The study attempts to identify the issues and opinions relating to modern bio technologies at the farmer level focusing on the technical, social, economic, political, ethical and personal dimensions associated with the biotechnology. It will also identify practices and relationships associated with bio technologies within the sustainable livelihood framework.
