Practical Action is an International Development organization working with the objective of reducing poverty through wider use of appropriate technologies in developing countries. Practical Action is implementing Climate Proofing for Growth and Development project in Nepal. The project is part of the UK Department for International Development (DFID) funded Action on Climate Today (ACT) programme which works with certain countries to integrate climate change into policies, plans and budgets. ACT support to the National Adaptation Plan process has included tourism as one of the thematic working groups (TWG). Based on this, Practical Action is inviting consulting firms to submit proposals for 'Economic Impact Assessment of Climate Change on Tourism in Nepal'.

The overall objective of the initiative is to assess the economic impact of climate change on tourism sector and identify potential options through which private sector can invest on climate change resilience. The detail on the Terms of Reference can be refered to by clicking on the download tab. 

Practical Action Nepal Office requests consulting firms to submit an application highlighting the letter of interest (LoI) along with your proposed methodology (not more than 4 pages) to conduct the proposed work to the following email address by 17 September 2017.
