Practical Action has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Internal Audit to provide assurance services across the organisation.

Practical Action is an international non-governmental organisation, developing and demonstrating practical, technology based solutions that enable women and men living in or vulnerable to poverty, to lead dignified lives. We partner with people whose lives are transformed by these efforts and ensure local ownership and solutions that work in the longer term, without us.

This role plays an important role assessing the effectiveness of the policies, procedures and standards by which the Practical Action’s financial, physical and information resources are managed.

The successful candidate will have significant senior experience in audit or finance with experience of working in developing countries. The candidate must be an objective thinker, and must be able to communicate clearly to a range of stakeholders in a way that helps prioritise action.

The post involves regular travel to our offices and programmes in Africa, Asia and Latin America, and therefore the candidate must be willing and available to travel up to 15 weeks a year.
