Practical Action is an international non-governmental organisation (INGO) that develops and demonstrates practical, technology based solutions that enable women and men living in or vulnerable to poverty, to lead dignified lives. We partner with people whose lives are transformed by these efforts and ensure local ownership and solutions that work in the longer term, without us.

An exciting new role at Practical Action creates an opportunity for an innovative and effective communicator to join the Flood Resilience Program team. This is an opportunity to work closely with Practical Action’s offices in Nepal, Peru and Bangladesh to ensure lessons are captured and communicated to key audiences in order to bring about change. The post-holder will also give substantial support to the Flood Resilience Program staff in Head Office, providing content for, and marketing support to the flood resilience portal.

The successful candidate will be skilled in producing excellent written content in English, and managing publication and communication production processes. With excellent administration and organisation skills, including digital filing, the successful candidate will ideally have InDesign or similar desktop publishing experience.
