Description of project:

BioCAN Program promotes conservation and sustainable use of resources of the Amazon. Through better use of the scientific and traditional knowledge and land as well as  strengthening the capacities that exist in the region.

BioCAN Program is a regional program, an initiative of the Member Countries of the Andean Community and the Government of Finland, which aims to "contribute to improving the quality of life of the populations of the Member Countries of the Andean Community its Andean-Amazonian Tropical Regions, through the conservation and sustainable use of biological diversity in an equitable and respectful of cultural diversity. " The program covers four areas:

  • Institutional and governance
  • Effective use of biodiversity information
  • Territorial Planning
  • Incentives for sustainable management of biodiversity

Through press coverage, advertisement, social networks and many communication products (spots, documentary, graphic material, infographs, etc) the campaign has communicated the efforts of the BioCAN Programme and value of the resources of the Amazon of the 4 countries.
 

Work carried out by PAC team:

PAC LA’s role in this consultancy covers: overall project management, contractual management and quality assurance, coordination of communications teams in four countries, and design and roll-out of communication plan.
