We are the consulting arm of Practical Action, an international NGO that focuses on using appropriate and sustainable technology to fight poverty.

PAC’s broad client base includes the World Bank, Inter-American Development Bank, Department for International Development (UK), European Union, Asian Development Bank, key bilateral agencies, NGOs and the private sector.

We operate regional offices in the UK, Eastern Africa (Nairobi), Southern Africa (Harare), Asia (Kathmandu), South Asia (Colombo) and Latin America (Lima), staffed with experienced development experts.

Our long-standing engagement in technology for poverty reduction has enabled us to build up an extensive network of over 600 international consultants. Standards of performance are ensured through formal and transparent reporting mechanisms ensuring a high and consistent level of quality.

Our regional offices have enabled the development of extensive local networks with a range of development partners and practitioners. We also draw on the skills and expertise of over 500 development professionals working for Practical Action globally.
