Small is... Festival - What's it about?
Welcome to the Small is... Festival!
2nd - 4th September 2011
|
The Small is… Festival is a celebration and evolution of the ideas of Small is Beautiful, written by Practical Action’s founder, E.F. Schumacher. |
A space to share skills, learn about technologies, create networks, develop ideas and be inspired about international development and the planet. |
The first Small is… Festival in 2009 was a great success and the second in 2010 saw the festival's popularity substancially grow. Due to popular demand, the Small is... Festival is back for a third year and will be held from the 2nd to the 4th September 2011.
This year's event will be full of fun and learning with lively networking and exchange sessions, open debates, hands-on workshops, stalls and information sharing spaces, kids activities and great world music, topped off with local food and hospitality. There will certainly be something for everyone!
If you came last year we hope to see you again.
If you didn’t make it last year, check out the pictures and stories on the site and you’ll soon get a feel for what is a really unique event.
The event is held in the beautiful Warwickshire countryside in the grounds of international development charity Practical Action.
Whether you would like to camp or just visit for the day, tickets are limited so get in quick!
Also get in touch if you would like to be a contributor, sharing skills in a workshop, having a stall to explain your organisations or products, or being part of a themed networking and exchange session. We are also open to applications for helpers to be part of the enthusiastic crew of people who help make the festival happen on the day and in the run up to the event.
Everything you need to learn about the festival and get involved should be on this site, but if you have any other questions or queries, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us on small_is@practicalaction.org.uk or call on 01926 634 518.
We're looking forward to seeing you in September for what we hope will be a life-changing experience.
