Disaster mitigation in Nepal: how residents are learning to cope with the impact of climate change and the frequently flooding rivers.

In 2006/7 Practical Action Nepal, with the support of the EC through its third DIPECHO action plan for South Asia, carried out a disaster mitigation programme in Chitwan and Nawalparasi districts, aimed at limiting the impacts of floods.

This film shows the main activities and achievements of Practical Action's work in early warning systems in Nepal, and it is hoped that it will offer ideas and motivation to others involved in the field of disaster risk reduction.
