Early Warning Saving Lives - floods in Nepal
Practical Action has been working in the development of community-based early warning systems since 2002, with systems currently operating throughout Chitwan, Nawalparasi, Banke and Bardia districts of Nepal.
This film covers various stages in the setting up of Early Warning Systems (EWS) carried out by Practical Action in Nepal between 2002 and 2008. It is intended as a briefing and training resource and is available for transmission in any forum without the prior approval of Practical Action or the European Commission, though credit should be given.
This film is available on DVD from Practical Action in the UK or Nepal.
For further information, see our Early Warning Systems project website.
