WE DON'T THROW MONEY AT A PROBLEM. WE THROW BRAINS.

At Practical Action, we don't believe in quick fixes.

Founded in 1965 by radical economist Dr E.F. Schumacher, we work with some of the world's poorest communities to find practical, sustainable solutions to poverty.

We believe in clever, simple technology that saves lives. And in 2010-2011 alone, we directly helped 946,000 people - with ingenious ideas including solar powered water pumps, bamboo fish farms, floating gardens and gravity ropeways.

Zeer pots are just one fantastic example of our work in action. They are made simply by using mud, clay and sand. But without them, families are watching their precious crops, and their chances of survival, rot away.

Donate £25 today and you could help us build two more zeer pots.
