Energy poverty and renewable energy technologies
Practical Action's Pro Poor Policies and Practices in Services team conducted a dialogue based study during the last year to define what is meant by the Level of Energy poverty in Sri Lanka and the number of households falling below the energy poverty line.
As a part of the continuous dialogue, a workshop under the theme "Provincial councils as the agent in providing Energy for Poor" will be held on 6th March 2009 to disseminate the findings of the energy poverty study and to create awareness on the avenues available and improvements required at the National and Provincial level policies to address the issue of energy poverty.
