Project Officer SAFER Nepal
Practical Action in a consortium with Mercy Corps and Oxfam is planning to implement a project titled “Strengthening Actions for Fostering Resilience through Early Warning and Risk Sensitive Planning in Nepal (SAFER Nepal)”. The project has aimed to enhance the capacity of community and relevant institutions to strengthen and replicate Community Based Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Early Warning System (EWS). This position will be based in the Regional Office, Chitwan.
Reporting to the Project Manager, SAFER Nepal, the PO will be responsible to support in planning, implementing and monitoring of project activities, documentation and preparation of reports, conduct meetings/workshops and trainings, build capacity of partners and stakeholders replication and mainstreaming good practices and liaise and coordinate with stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in disaster management or social science or applied sciences with minimum of three years of work experiences in DRR
- Experience in coordination with government, partners and media
- Excellent networking, communication and PR skills
- Strong presentation and reporting skills
