MEP visit to Kenya

In September 2011, three Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) travelled to Kenya to see the reality of energy poverty, and the impact of energy access, first hand, as part of the Energy for All 2030 project.

As champions for development within the European Parliament, this intensive visit provided the MEPs with an understanding of both the energy challenges and opportunities facing the families, communities and countries within the region most affected by energy poverty.

The Energy for All 2030 project expects that this visit will arm the MEPs with the information and inspiration to elevate the position of energy access for development within the European Parliament.

See this video to see their reflections on the visit.
