16 January 2013: the UN Secretary-General‟s Sustainable Energy for All (SE4ALL) Initiative launched a Global Thematic Consultation on Energy. The Consultation will culminate in a high-level meeting in Oslo, Norway, on 9 April 2013, which will develop an “Oslo Declaration” on key energy recommendations and potential global energy objectives. The objective of this high-level meeting is to take stock of the ongoing energy-consultations and finalize a common vision, in the form of a set of key-recommendations, that will be submitted to the Secretary General’s high level panel on the post-2015 development agenda.
