Krishi call centre, Bangladesh
The Krishi call centre offers real-time advice on farming issues in Bangladesh. This is an initiative of Practical Answers working with the Ministry of Agriculture.
From Bangladesh, call 16123 from any operators for help with any problem related to livestock, aquaculture and agriculture production.
The Centre was launched in June 2014 by the Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury by dialing to the number, 16123, whilst addressing the National Digital Fair at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the city.
Agriculture experts from the Centre will provide immediate and effective solution to the problems of the farmers, which will help them overcome their problems, the function was told.
There are about 115 million mobile phone users across the country. Calls can be made to the Centre from any mobile operator free of charge.
