The science curriculum in Wales offers a real opportunity for teachers to enhanse pupils learning by the integration of global issues in their teaching.
Teaching in a global context, using methods that encourage discussion and debate, coupled with an enquiry based approach, not only engages and motivates pupils but deepens their scientific knowledge and understanding.
The national curriculum of Wales identifies the skills for each context and the range of contexts, opportunities and activities through which these skills should be developed and applied.
