A breakfast fringe meeting at the 10th session of the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly.
The Joint Parliamentary Assembly of the ACP-EU brings together parliamentarians from Europe, Africa, the Caribbean and countries of the Pacific. Their last meeting took place in Edinburgh from 19-24 November 2005, and Practical Action was there to meet with MEPs and continue to question the effectiveness of European aid to agriculture in Africa.
Practical Action organised a breakfast fringe meeting, where representatives from Small-Scale Farmers' Forums in Kenya and Zambia spoke about the difficulties they face and presented their views on how European aid can be made more effective. The meeting was chaired by Linda McAvan MEP.
