Energy for All 2030
Energy access for the poor in Sub-Saharan Africa
Energy for All 2030 is a cross-European project, dedicated to raising the public and political profile of energy access.
Almost half the world’s population currently live without modern energy. Projections show that the situation is likely to be the same in two decades time. As a result, billions of women, men and children will be denied the power to challenge their poverty.
Specifically focusing on how access to energy can support the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals in sub-Saharan Africa, the project ultimately aims to see a step change in EC funding for African energy initiatives that reach the poorest communities.
