Corporate partnerships do not have to stop at directors and top management. Supporting a charity through employee fundraising has excellent benefits for both companies and their staff and can help raise some invaluable funds for Practical Action.  Employee fundraising gives an opportunity to motivate staff and develop new skills, there's increased loyalty amongst employees which brings a positive atmosphere throughout the organisation. 

Team events offer the opportunity to get staff together in environments they wouldn't usually share. They are a fantastic way of encouraging communication and team-working skills, with the added benefit of supporting Practical Action and its commitment to reducing poverty in the countries in which we work.

As part of their Emerging Leaders Programme (a development scheme for Managers), Centrica held a Pedal for Poverty Event and raised over £9,000.  It was fantastic day which literally generated a real buzz around the offices.  See for yourself what a great event it was on our Flickr site.
