Frequently Asked Questions

Why do we fundraise in this way?
This type of fundraising gives us the opportunity to talk directly to people about our life changing work and the impact it is having on the lives of people living in poverty across the world, something that is difficult to do through other forms of fundraising.

How do I know the person calling at the door is legitimate?
All of our fundraisers wear Practical Action T-shirts or tabards and carry official fundraiser identification badges with them at all times, which is required by law. If you would like verification of the fundraiser please call us on 01926 634400 who are available from 9am to 5pm weekdays (answer phone service at all other times).

What are we asking for?
We would like people to give a regular gift to support our work.

Is my donation secure?
All details collected for the direct debit mandate can only be used by Practical Action and no one else. Your details are protected by the 1998 Date Protection Act and will not be passed to any third party.
