Corporate Brand Partnership Executive

Practical Action’s fundraising from Corporates continues to grow, but we think we can do even better.  We want to continue to grow the number of UK and European based corporates supporting us financially and helping to raise the Practical Action brand.

Practical Action's mission is to challenge poverty using technology and over the next 5 years we intend to change the lives of 6 million poor people in developing countries. The Public Fundraising team will contribute to that by raising over £60 million. The Corporate Brand Partnership Executive will achieve this by generating partnerships to raise £2.5m by 2017 and helping to raise the profile of the Practical Action brand with corporate staff, customers, members and suppliers.

We are looking for an experienced brand partnerships fundraiser who is a good team-worker, has excellent relationship management skills, drive for results, is  self-motivated and with the ability to describe the impact of our great work, verbally and written, in a way that will excite and persuade existing and new corporate and institutional donors to fund us. We need you to be able to identify key points (synergy with Practical Action’s work, Corporate’s giving levels, appropriate approach, etc.) and use these to develop an engagement plan that leads to strategic partnerships that generate funds for our projects overseas and raise awareness in the UK.

You will need creativity and determination, someone who likes a challenge and is willing to try different approaches in seeking potential partners and securing their support. You should have good verbal and written skills that you are able to adapt to different levels within a brand partner’s organisation. Experience of blogging, tweeting and maintaining contact through various social media would be an advantage.

Be part of our team!
