Practical action consulting: Partners
Partnership Working
We believe in sharing best practice and information exchange. Our preferred delivery mechanism is to combine local partners and communities with international consultants to provide a balance of local knowledge and international best practice.
We are members of several frameworks and consortia providing high quality technological and development expertise to major donor agencies, these include:
DEW Point: The Dewpoint Resource Centre disseminates knowledge in environment, water resources, water and sanitation and climate change. Pracical Action Consulting is one of five specialist Consortium Partner's providing technical support in this area.
ENGAGE: ENGAGE is DFID’s engineering framework team, focusing on infrastructure works in key sectors such as water, energy, sanitation and transport. Practical Action Consulting is one of 13 specialist consulting firms providing expertise in development planning, policy, infrastructure management, appropriate technology and sustainability.
We have also established key working relationships with a number of other international organisations through a number of our projects, these include:
KITE: KITE is a Ghanaian not-for-profit organisation and a leading actor in the energy, technology and environment sectors in Ghana and the West Africa sub-region. KITE is a consortium member of the PAC Latin America-led ELLA project.
IIED: The International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) is a global leader in sustainable development. As an independent international research organisation, IIED is a specialist in linking local to global. IIED is a network partner for the ELLA project.
ACTS: Based in Nairobi, Kenya, the African Centre for Technology Studies (ACTS) is one of our partners working on the Policy Innovation Systems for Clean Energy Security (PISCES) project.
