Be a Practical Presenter

Would you like to join our team of Practical Presenters across the country?

Our volunteer speakers act as ambassadors for Practical Action, helping to raise awareness of poverty in developing countries and encourage support for the simple and practical solutions that we offer. With more and more groups around the country keen to hear about Practical Action, our volunteer presenters play a vital role in raising awareness about our work - and often inspire those groups to go on to fundraise on our behalf. Audiences have included Rotary Clubs, Soroptimists, faith groups, colleges, walking clubs and gardening clubs, to name but a few.

And we don’t expect you to go it alone! Our dedicated team will provide advice and support, including speaker training days where you can learn more about the organisation and share hints and tips on how to find your own presentations, and what has worked within your local community.  We also provide a Practical Presenters pack, containing all the materials you need to give an inspiring presentation along with handy hints and tips on public speaking.
