Czech Ministry Sustainable Energy Policy Study
Dates: 2008
Location: International
Client: Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs
PAC was contracted to produce a policy support paper for the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs in their role as the rotating presidency of the EU surveying the policy environment for energy access at the local level from sustainable sources. The report summarized the potential contributions, barriers and EU policy requirements if the role of local sustainable energy (generally decentralized renewable energy) is to make the contribution it can to energy access and development at an international level.
This was published as a background paper by the EU Presidency and a Council Resolution essentially stating the main conclusions of the paper as a policy position for the EU has been issued and will be a basis for advocacy on energy access in the coming years.
The report is complete and can be downloaded here
